MacBooks Purchase Press Release (May 2020)

SURPLUS LAPTOPS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

The Jackson County Board of Education has declared a number of MacBook laptop computers as surplus property and has authorized the sale of these used devices to the general public. The cost is $250 per MacBook. These devices have been in service for approximately five years and will be retired from student use after this school year.

The members of the 2020 Graduating Class at both high schools had the opportunity to purchase a MacBook before they were offered for sale to the public. Order forms are available at the Jackson County Board of Education Administrative Office at 1 School Street in Ripley or on the Jackson County Schools Website at boe.jack.k12.wv.us All orders must be submitted to the Jackson County Schools Administrative Office and will not be accepted at any school locations.

            Checks are to be made payable to Jackson County Schools and are due when the order is placed. MacBooks will be available for pickup on June 29-30, 2020.
