RIPLEY, WV — July 6, 2026 — The Jackson County Board of Education officially welcomed returning leadership today as Board Members Bea Isner, Jim Frazier, and Dr. Ben Mize were sworn in for their new terms during a re-organization meeting held at the board’s central administrative office in Ripley.
The oath of office marks the continuation of dedicated public service for all three members, who Jackson County voters re-elected to guide the district's public education system, support local educators, and promote student achievement.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the board proceeded with its constitutional duties to organize leadership for the upcoming term and discuss priorities for the 2026–2027 school year, which include ongoing infrastructure improvements, curriculum enhancements, and community engagement.
Jim Frazier, a career educator and former school principal with over two decades of administrative experience, continues his focus on fiscal responsibility and educational support for all students across the county.
Dr. Ben Mize, a local optometrist and long-time Ravenswood resident, brings a strong commitment to student wellness, community involvement, and local accountability.
Bea Isner, a retired high school counselor with over 20 years of service in West Virginia public schools, remains dedicated to student mental health, academic counseling resources, and family advocacy.
